Dear MCHVF Families,
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I’d like to extend a very warm welcome to the 2023/24 school year at Montessori Children’s House of Valley Forge! I hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable summer with your families.
Last year, we highlighted MCHVF’s incredible history by celebrating our 60th anniversary. It was wonderful sharing Alumni stories, inviting Alumni to the school, and finally, celebrating with you all at Spring Fling.
We were also able to hold community events such as Family Pizza Night, the Ice Cream Social, and Grand-Friends Day. We were excited to welcome parents back into the classroom as Mystery Readers and more. These traditions are highlights for our students and our community. I am very excited to see you all at these occasions. If you are new to the school, or returning, attending or volunteering is a great way to meet other families.
Our incredible teachers have been so excited to welcome back our students. Our educators have been busy preparing their classrooms, and are grateful to have access to such high quality Montessori materials. It is thanks to all of your continued generosity that we are able to provide our students with the opportunity to learn with these tools. As the year progresses, there will be more opportunities for the community to help provide this support to MCHVF.
We are so appreciative of our supportive parent community that gives back to our non-profit school through our fundraisers, such as our Annual Giving Campaign coming up later this fall. Your support helps us fund special projects and programs for our students and we are very grateful.
On a final note, I’d like to thank the Board of Directors for their time and dedication; they are an incredibly passionate and talented group of volunteers who go above and beyond for our school. Thank you Jung Lee, Kara Brigandi, Julia Sturniolo, Andrew Owen, Jamie Gravinese and Kathy Justi, and welcome to new Board members Reshma Shah, Krysta Hopp, Tom Bartolacci, and Mitch Favrow.
Here’s to another great year!
All the best,
MCHVF Board President
