Dear MCHVF Families,
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I’d like to extend a very warm welcome to the 2022/23 school year at Montessori Children’s House of Valley Forge! I hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable summer with your families.
Last year, we returned to a more normal school year at MCHVF, with no days missed due to COVID. I am so incredibly grateful to our amazing staff who worked so hard all year to keep our children safe and learning.
We were also able to hold our incredible community events such as Family Pizza Night, Spring Fling, and Grand-Friends Day. We were excited to welcome parents back into the classroom as Mystery Readers and more. These traditions are highlights for our students and our community. I am very excited to see you all at these occasions. If you are new to the school, or returning, attending or volunteering is a great way to meet other families.
This year, we welcome Ana DaCosta in her new role as Interim Head of School at MCHVF. Ana is no stranger to the school with years of experience with the school as Board President. Ana’s long standing commitment to the school, and the relationships with its staff she has fostered, will be invaluable this year. Ana has already dove in, and is excited to welcome you all this year.
Our incredible teachers can’t wait to have our students back. Our educators have been busy preparing their classrooms, and are grateful to have access to such high quality Montessori materials. It is thanks to all of your continued generosity that we are able to provide our students with the opportunity to learn with these tools. As the year progresses, there will be more opportunities for the community to help provide this support to MCHVF.
On a final note, I’d like to thank the Board of Directors for their time and dedication; they are an incredibly passionate and talented group of volunteers who go above and beyond for our school. Thank you Jung Lee, Jeremy Levy, Kathy Justi, Andrew Owen, and Stephanie McAleer, and welcome to new Board members Kara Brigandi, Julia Sturniolo, and Jamie Gravinese.
Here’s to another great year!
All the best,
MCHVF Board President
